Joe Karakatsanis is a guitarist and musical director, Alumni of the prestigious Berklee college of music, specialising in
studio, touring and arranging work, a Max Pro Ears endorsee who is based in Boston and Los Angeles.
Joe started learning the guitar as a young teen and has been passionate and dedicated ever since. Mentored by great
Australian guitarists Simon Hosford and Andrew Wrigglesworth Joe quickly found success in high school being chosen
to perform as part of the Victorian Top Acts concert at the well renowned Melbourne Recital centre.
Since becoming a professional musician Joe quickly gained a great reputation as a live and session player in
Melbourne, Australia.
In 2016 This Led to getting opportunity to perform residencies in china for the year, along the way performing with
famous singer songwriter Guan Zhe(关喆 Grady Guan).In 2017 Joe was accepted on Scholarship to Berklee college of
music, further mentored by the greats Mick Goodrick, David Gilmore, Jeffery Lockhardt, Scott Deogburn and many
more. Joe was featured as guitarist at many of the showcased show at the Berklee performance centre at his time at
Berklee.
In 2019, Joe was featured on PIanists Jesus Molinas Album “Agape” also featuring Multi Grammy award winning Jazz
legends Mike Stern,Eric Marienthal, Antonio Sanchez, Randy Brecker.
2019 also saw him Tour Europe on “the World Residencies” Yacht as part of the band for Boston music award winning
artist Louie Bello.
In 2020 Joe is appearing the Chinese TV program named “Campus Singer is Coming (新声清指教) as a main cast. this tv
show is airing from Zhejiang Television as part of Hunan TV. Collaborating with both young and legendary Chinese
Artists.Joe is currently touring with Multi Grammy/Latin Grammy winning artist Noel Schajris for his Lo Major Demi
Tour.
Joe has performed and worked with Artists Noel Schajris, Nana Ou Yang, Kelly Yu, Sona Jorbateh, Jesus Molina, Louie
Bello, Guan Zhe, the Berklee Indian ensemble and many more.
